الديماغوجيه demagogue

Etymology of arabic words: the word الديماغوجيه
(al-dimagouzi) which means demagogue/demagog , has greek origin. The greek word δημαγωγός (thimagogos) comes from the antiquity and had the meaning of the popular leader or orator but usally in bad sense i.e., the leader of the mob.The word is formed by two words , the word δήμος (thimos) which means the people of the City/Municipality and the verb άγω (ago) which means “to lead, to guide”. In Turkish they use the word demagog.
