قالب الأحذية shoe last/shoetree

-->
Etymology of Arabic words:the expression قالب الأحذية
means shoe last/shoetree and the first part/word قالب
has roots in the greek word καλάπους (calapous) or καλόπους (calopous) which means the same and it is composed from the word κάλον meaning in the antiquity wood/timber and the word πούς meaning foot. In Turkish is ayakkabı kalıbı i.e.it has the same structure with the arab expression.

-->
P.S.There is also the arabic word كاليبر which means Caliber and it seems to be a counter loan from the French language and the word calibre which was formed on the basis of the arabic word قالب , which in turn (see above) is a loan word from Greek.
Please comments.
