Etymology of arabic words: the word الإكسير
(Al-Ikseer) which means elixir, the so called philosopher's stone, is probably of Greek origin. The greek word is ξήριον (xirion) , derives from the ancient word ξηρός (xeros) ,which means dry, and refered initially to a special powder for the healing of wounds
In use there are the following expressions : Elixir of life. Elixir of love.
In Turkish they use iksir and elixir.

=(kiraz or karaz) which means cherry is probably a loan word from the Greek language. The greek word κεράσι /κέρασος (kerasi) comes from the antiquity. The Romans the first century B.C. named Kerasous (today turkish Giresun) a town in northern Minor Asia ( today Turkey) because they found there cherries and started cultivating them in Rome.

(ideolojia) means ideology and has its roots in the greek language as the French word which was coined by Destutt de Tracy in 1796 entails two greek words, the word ιδέα (idhea) meaning idea and the word λόγος (loghos) meaning reason, cause, speech. The greek word is ιδεολογία (idheologhia).In Turkish is ideoloji.
