Etymology of Arabic words: the word الهيدروجين
(al-hydrouzin) which means hydrogen, has greek roots. The greek word υδρογόνο (ydrogono) which means the same, is a counter loan from the french language. The french word hydrogène coined in 1787 on the basis of the greek words ὕδρω hydro meaning water and γενῆς genes meaning creator, because hydrogen produces water (H2O) , when comes in contact whith the oxygen . In Turkish they use the word hidrojen.
