Etymology of arabic words: the word بروستات
(brostat) means in medicine (male) prostate ( gland) and via latin and french its root goes to the ancient greek word προστάτης – prostatis which means literally "one who stands before", "protector". The greek word derives from the verb προΐστημι (pro-istιmι) - and is composed from pro- before and histιmi - to stand. In Greek is προστάτης – prostatis and in Turkish is prostat.
