Etymology of Arabic words: the word الكوميديا
=(al coumidia) is the wellknown Comedy which has as root the Greek language. The greek word κωμωδία (comodia) comes from the antiquity and Aristofanes was one of the most representative writers with many(11) theater plays, some of them still today very popular and performed during the summer festivals in Greece and elsewhere. In Turkish they use the word komedi.
