ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi (ca. 800–870 CE) was the first self-identified
philosopher in the Arabic tradition. He worked with a group of
translators who rendered works of Aristotle, the Neoplatonists, and
Greek mathematicians and scientists into Arabic.””
