Etymology
of Arabic words: the word ديوبتر
means
Diopters (Any lens system, such as a telescope, or just (eye)glasses) and derives from
the greek word δίοπτρον/διόπτρες which is composed
from the preffix δια- meaning through and the suffix -οπτρον
which stems from the root οπ- and derives from the verb ωρώ
meaning to look/to see. In Turkish is dioptri.
