الأنود anode

Etymology of Arabic words: the word الأنود
means anode (technical term in electricity) and according to Online Etymology Dictionary “in 1834, coined from Greek άνοδος-anodos "way up," from ανα-ana "up" +οδός- hodos "way". In Turkish is anot.
