Etymology of Arabic words: the word ديمقراطية
=( dimokratia) which means of course Democracy is a loan word from the Greek language. The greek word is Δημοκρατία (dimokratia) comes from the antiquity (fifth century B.C.), has the same meaning and it is composed by the words Δήμος (dimos) which now means borough, municipality but in the antiquity had the meaning of the people of the city and from the word -κρατία (kratia) which is relevant to the meaning of power, management, administration. In Turkish they use the word demokrasi.
