Etymology of arabic words: the word تكنولوجيا
(teknolojia) is one more arabic word with greek origin and means technology. The Greek word technologia (τεχνολογία) means systematic treatment of an art, from technē art, skill + -o- + -logia -logy. According to other sources, the word was formed in the french language on the basis of two greek words : the word τέχνη (techni) which means art and the word -λογία (logia) which means “study of” and/or “reasoning of”. In Turkish they use the word teknoloji.
