Etymology
of arabic words: the word الكوزموغرافي
(cosmografi)
means cosmography and derives from greek. The Greek word κοσμογραφία
(cosmografia) is a counter loan from English and is composed by the
greek words κόσμος (cosmos) which means “world, universe,
people” and the sufix – γραφία (grafia) which derives from
the verb γράφω (grafo) meaning “to write”. In Turkish they
use the word kozmografi.
