Etymology
of Arabic words: the word فردوس
means
paradise
and according to AED derives from the greek word παράδεισος
which has the same meaning. The greek word is probably according to
BABINIOTIS dictionary a loan word from the old Persian, the word pardez
which had the meaning of garden.
