Etymology
of Arabic words: the word الأميبا
means
amoeba
(medical term) which word coined in 1757 by August
Johann Rösel von Rosenhof on the basis of the Greek word
αμοιβάς/αμοιβή
which had the meaning of change/exchange. These microorganisms were
so called for its constantly changing shape.In Turkish is amip.
